May 26, 20199 Comments

It's early Sunday morning and I'm am just hours away from the deadline for the May DolceVitaBloggers Link up! I sadly haven't been able to make the deadlines in the past so I'm pretty excited that I finally got a post done in time! (even if it's 2am!) I have been thinking about this post … Continue reading Italian regions I love

Our family vacation 2017: The Vlog

September 3, 2017September 3, 20174 Comments

We did it! We survived our busiest summer yet! We have just returned from our annual trip to Bellaria and instead of writing another post with lots of pictures, I decided to do a Vlog. I will warn you now that talking is minimal as my approach to making it was more for the kids. … Continue reading Our family vacation 2017: The Vlog

Pisa through my lens

July 18, 2017July 14, 2017Leave a comment

While planning our trip, we decided to take a day trip to Pisa since it's just an hour away. Because it's so close, there's no real problem with taking the kids. One thing I realized is that if you have the option, take a picnic lunch and eat at Piazza dei Miracoli. There are so … Continue reading Pisa through my lens

Florence through my lens

July 12, 2017July 12, 2017Leave a comment

I've written my honest opinion about our recent visit to Florence and now comes the bombardment of photos. I narrowed them down to a select few just to give you an idea of how our itinerary went. (without captions.. because i don't think they're totally necessary) Day One   Day two Day three Where we … Continue reading Florence through my lens

Florence with kids: An honest opinion

July 10, 2017July 10, 20173 Comments

Florence... or Firenze as it is known in Italian is one of those cities that everyone and their dog dreams of going to and to be honest... it's not a city I love. My first visit was in 2009 with my sister in law. You can read about it here. (please excuse the overly saturated … Continue reading Florence with kids: An honest opinion

Our Family Vacation…2016 (part 5- Surviving the beach)

February 13, 2017February 27, 20172 Comments

It's wintertime and while this year's weather is absolutely bonkers, we've had a few cold spells. It's during these cold months that Carlo and I tease each other about how we much we miss summer, or more specifically.... the beach. As I mentioned in the previous post, I gave up "relaxing" too much to be … Continue reading Our Family Vacation…2016 (part 5- Surviving the beach)

Our Family Vacation…2016 (part 4- The City)

October 21, 2016February 27, 20172 Comments

Bellaria in the province of Rimini deserves it's own post. Like a proper post. Last year we didn't spend much time away from the beach so we made sure to explore it this year. One of our favorite things to do in Bellaria or let alone anywhere in Emilia Romagna is to eat a Bombolone. … Continue reading Our Family Vacation…2016 (part 4- The City)

Our family vacation…2016 (part 3- the beach)

October 8, 2016February 27, 20171 Comment

Ah... the beach. Just typing these words is making me miss it more and more. Last year was our first time to Bellaria so I was taking everything in. This year, we turned it up a notch and made sure we took advantage of more activities and more fun time. While my goal was to … Continue reading Our family vacation…2016 (part 3- the beach)

Our family vacation…2016 (part 2-location and food)

September 19, 2016February 27, 20171 Comment

Last year we  stayed at a simple hotel called Piccolo Mondo. It's part of the Valentini Village group. As I mentioned in the post (read here), these hotels are usually all inclusive. Some are small 3 stars, other 4 star luxury hotels. Either way, because they belong to this group, all patrons are able to … Continue reading Our family vacation…2016 (part 2-location and food)

Our Family Vacation…. 2016 (part 1)

September 12, 2016September 2, 20161 Comment

If you've been around the blog a while,  you know that last year we took our very first family vacation to the seaside town of Bellaria in the province of Rimini. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to go back again this year. Last year, we hit a snag in our plans … Continue reading Our Family Vacation…. 2016 (part 1)

15 seconds of love and affection after watching Coco. Then it was back to yelling and fighting over a phone. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Would you believe me if I said it was easier when they were smaller?!? #lifewithdaughters #thebigkidyears
A rare moment. I have been wanting to go into town for a walk, go to the museum, or just to do whatever and I can’t seem to pull myself away from laundry. Today however, I had an appointment with a friend and it was just what I needed.
🎵This is Halloween🎵... My favorite day of the year is finally here! I have spent the last 2 days baking and decorating 90 cookies for the girls to take to class. I’m exhausted but the day isn’t over. Now it’s time to prep for tonight’s festivities! Happy Halloween y’al! 🎃🕷☠️👻
Life is crazy busy and I feel like most days I’m just barely able to do the minimum. When I try to take a “day off” it never turns out like I hope. However today, I had no choice but to get myself to a spa. It was awkward since I went alone but it was definitely much needed. Thanks to my man @runner74slk who gave me this gift LAST CHRISTMAS 😅
Why is it that when we plan things, it never happens? 3 weeks into the new school year and I still haven’t been able to manage to get the house clean or go running?!? I forced myself to stay home today and I was able to catch up on laundry and clean the balcony. Here’s hoping next week will be slightly less hectic. #backtoschool
Today, Valentina came home from school and the first thing she said when she walked in the door was that she learned about 9/11. How 18 yrs ago, the WTC Twin Towers fell down. I didn’t want to explain too much but I told her it was a very important date in US & World History. I’m not sure she’s ready to see any images yet but I’m glad to know her teachers mentioned it. #9/11 #neverforget #i❤️nyc
