2018 One Word Theme: ME

December 28, 2017December 28, 20175 Comments

It's time once again to sit and review the past year that didn't pan out the way I had hoped. Last year, I had high hopes for 2017. I still remember writing my post and being so excited. My theme was MORE. MORE knitting- I was going to start knitting again and try to pick … Continue reading 2018 One Word Theme: ME

If you can't tell, I love to cook and bake. It's my thing or at least it was. I considered myself a good cook, everyone told me I was so I believed them. Sweets were my specialty. Every year, I decorate the house by the 1st of February. However, we were in Rome so I just kinda forgot. I managed to decorate and make 2 different treats just in time to celebrate when the girls got home from school. Happy Valentine’s Day!
That pinch me moment when you finally see something that you’ve been waiting for. The reason for this weekend trip to Rome was to go to the Open House of the Rome Temple. It was everything.... and more!! @ldschurch @lachiesarestaurata #churchofjesuschristoflatterdaysaints #chiesadigesucristodeisantidegliultimigiorni
I’m almost positive that I was the most excited to see the Trevi Fountain. The girls were just happy to throw their coins in... like #lizzymcguire 😃
Today, I’m celebrating a birthday! As my brother puts it, it’s my Dirk* year! I’m gonna party all month long!!. . . *Dirk Nowitzki is my favorite NBA player and his jersey number 41!
We’re absolutely exhausted after the delayed train ride and the walking we’ve done so far. I already can’t wait to come back when the girls are a bit older.
In honor of my 10 years in Italy, I went back and reflected on the months prior to my arrival and wrote a post about some of the Italy-themed books I read to prepare for that “Dolce Vita” you hear so much about.
