Florence through my lens

July 12, 2017

I’ve written my honest opinion about our recent visit to Florence and now comes the bombardment of photos. I narrowed them down to a select few just to give you an idea of how our itinerary went. (without captions.. because i don’t think they’re totally necessary) Day One   Day two Day three Where we … More Florence through my lens

Florence with kids: An honest opinion

July 10, 2017

Florence… or Firenze as it is known in Italian is one of those cities that everyone and their dog dreams of going to and to be honest… it’s not a city I love. My first visit was in 2009 with my sister in law. You can read about it here. (please excuse the overly saturated … More Florence with kids: An honest opinion

Italia Photo Marathon- Torino

October 3, 2016

Last Sunday I participated in 4th edition of Torino Photo Marathon. Leading up to the event, I picked up my studying to brush up on things I had learned. Unfortunately, most of my time was concentrated on back to school duties so I wasn’t able to pick up the camera and practice. The Italia Photo Marathon … More Italia Photo Marathon- Torino

Getting out of my comfort zone

September 27, 2016

Last year, I saw a video and it totally excited me. It was for the Torino Photo Marathon. If you’ve been around a while, you know that I’ve had a DSLR for years and was so excited to use it when Miss V was born. While I did use it, I never got to the … More Getting out of my comfort zone

Why almost losing my photo library was a good thing.

May 16, 2016

A few weeks ago, husband came to me and said, “It’s time to back up your stuff and reformat the computer.” We do this every so often to delete unwanted files and install upgraded software. I had been wanting to upgrade from iPhotos to Photos on my Mac but was just lazy to do so. … More Why almost losing my photo library was a good thing.

Behind the Gram: Elliptical Bike

May 8, 2015

A few months ago, I was on my way home from the store and I had Baby C with me. We were walking through the park and spent a few minutes playing around. I saw this awesome bike and I had to get  picture of it. Luckily this guy did like 10 laps and was … More Behind the Gram: Elliptical Bike

Photo Shoot: Carlotta Rose

April 29, 2013

One of the reasons I keep blogging is because I know there are people out there who want to know about Torino or simply want to see into other people’s lives. I’ve met some wonderful people through blogging. (Hi Jill!!) I get to connect with other bloggers and swap stories (good and bad) about life … More Photo Shoot: Carlotta Rose

Photo A Day Challenge

December 2, 2012

I had fun posting my 30 days of Thanks that I kinda wanted to continue with December. I didn’t want to post a song/movie a day because I did that last year. Since I hadn’t really accomplished my photography goal I thought I’d just start now so I could at least say I did try … More Photo A Day Challenge

If there’s one day where soccer (football) fans unite, it’s today. May 4, 1949 a plane carrying the entire Torino team, coaching staff and a few journalists crashed into the retaining wall behind the Basilica di Superga. This church sits on a hill over looking the valley. (I wrote a quick post on the blog.) Every year fans head up to the church to pay their respects and the city lights up the Mole Antonelliana in the teams colors.
When you grow up in a multicultural home you get to be a little extra, especially around the holidays. Since we didn’t have time before Easter, we made our cascarones today and will probably take them to the playground tomorrow.
March 19th is San Giuseppe, or St. Joseph. Joseph being Jesus’ earthly father is recognized as the father of us all and thus is why Italians celebrate Father’s Day today. Here’s to all you Dads celebrating.. and to our main guy. We love him soo much. #fathersday #lifeinitaly #lifewithkids
A few weeks ago, we took a walk to the park and the girls stopped for a few seconds to go on the slide. It immediately brought back memories from when they were little and the playground was our life.
Today is a special day and it almost went unnoticed. It’s my Italyversary! 13 years ago on January 3rd, 2009, I walked out of Turin Caselle Airport not knowing what my future was going to be like. I just knew I was supposed to be here with my “still new” husband.
#top9 for #2021. Seems like reels got the most love this year. So I guess I should make more. 🤷🏽‍♀️ #turinpro #therealturin
