If you’ve been around the blog a while, you know that last year we took our very first family vacation to the seaside town of Bellaria in the province of Rimini. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to go back again this year.
Last year, we hit a snag in our plans and our 4 hour trip turned into 7 hours and included motion sickness.
To avoid having to relive this scenario, we decided that leaving at 4am was a brilliant idea! We figured if we left an hour earlier we could avoid having to sit in heavy traffic for too long. To help the girls survive the trip, we made them stay up late… till MIDNIGHT! Despite waking up at 3:30 am, they were happy and cooperative. They were so excited that they didn’t want to go back to sleep. Eventually they all crashed soon and the next thing they knew, we were at an Autogrill in Modena and it was just after 7am. We were making such good time and because of this crazy sleep schedule, the girls fell fas asleep once we started making our way again.
We arrived at our hotel about 9:30.. without accidents!
Stay tuned for part 2!
Take a look at my posts from last year’s trip.
