Dear Betta,
Happy Birthday baby girl! I can’t believe you’re already 2 years old. It seems like just yesterday that you were born. I remember that day very well and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. You have been keeping us entertained in ways we could never thought of.
You are still a dare-devil. You love to go on the big kid swings and get pushed higher and higher. You love the slides. The bigger the better. You jump, constantly bump your head and keep going.
You are also very sweet. You’re very affectionate and I can always count on you to give me lots of kisses when I asked for them. Your hugs are the best and I love to hear you laugh. You have such a sweet spirit and one of my favourite things is to look at you when we’re playing. I can see you. Looking deep into your eyes, I see you. Your spark, the burning curiosity, your spiritual self. I see it. It’s during our alone time together that I enjoy the most.
You’re also way too clingy! As much as I love you, you really need to start playing without me. I know I’m totally awesome, but it’s ok to be in different rooms. You don’t always have to be next to me. You can play in your room while I make the bed. It’s ok to keep eating your food while I do the laundry. It’s also time you go to Nursery (at Church) without me! You’ve been there 6-7 months. It’s time to play without me!
I love that you’re FINALLY talking! Our little parrot. You’re repeating what you hear, you’re singing ABC’s, counting to 10 in both English and Italian.
I am so very proud of you and I can’t wait to see how much you’ll be changing in the next year.
I love you Betty White!!
xoxo
