Salt crusted Fish

Carlo and I are BIG fish fans.  Salmon, Tilapia, Trout, Tuna, Sea Bass…. you name it.. we’ll probably try  it.  We usually opt for Grilled Fish (with lemon pepper for me!!) but now we have a new favorite and I hope you’ll enjoy it too!
Salt Crusted Fish (so far, we’ve tried it with a Sea bass = YUM!)
Ingredients:
coarse sea salt
any spices/seasonings you’d like
whole fish of your choice
We always buy 4- 1kg boxes of salt and usually end up using 3.5 boxes.
for seasonings… I used Olive oil, onions, black pepper, garlic and dried rosemary

Preheat your oven to 200℃ (390℉)

I used a 13×9 pan… pour the salt and cover the bottom of the pan completely…
clean and wash your fish & stuff with seasonings…
place in pan…
close up of onion..
and cover with more sea salt
bake in oven for about an hour
After removing some of the salt.. it will look like this…
Peel away the skin & enjoy!
fish eye anyone?
