Bestest Friends!

As I mentioned in the last post, one of my dearest, darling, bestest friend came to visit me!!! (please pardon the overuse of exclamation marks on this post….. but i was just so darn excited!)

Meet Dulce!
Dulce & I at the train station

We met way back in the day (2002) and have been friends since.  The last time we saw each other, it was at my wedding.  She flew in from MEXICO to be one of my bridesmaids! (seriously… what a great friend… right?!?!?)  Well, Dulce (along with her mom & step dad) took a trip to Spain to visit her brother.  While she was there, she was able to get a great deal on a ticket to Paris and from there, she hopped on a train to Torino.   You can imagine the tears of joy that flowed that day…. It was so amazingly wonderful to have her come visit… to see where I live and most importantly… to meet Valentina.  We had the most amazing 2 weeks together.  She got to meet Carlo’s family, his cousin Anita & our friends Jill & Florent.   We did so many things that I will have to write individual posts about it all.

On her first night, before getting to the house, we introduced Dulce to her very first gelato!! (that’s how we roll! 🙂

Dulce is one of those people who makes friends wherever she goes.  She’s got a great personality, she’s smart & beautiful! (because all Mexican girls are!! 🙂

We walked through the city & had lunch with Jill.  We made sure to have Dulce spin on the bull so that she could have good luck while in Torino.

Valentina had a great time and was completely exhausted at the end of the day..
Before making our way home, Jill told us about a Gelateria that had yummy Granitas… so we stopped by and had our first (of many) granitas from Vasavasa!
